Looking for a great retro styled trainer? Then look no further than the classic PF-Flyers trainers brand. PF Flyers were first produced by BF Goodrich in 1937. They reached the height of their popularity in the 1950's and 60's but lost their momentum during the 70's, 80's and 90's. The brand was purchased temporarily by Converse in 1972 but later it sold off. In 2001, New Balance bought the rights to the brand, which had been dormant since 1992, and resurrected it as a main contender in 2003.
The PF in PF-Flyers stands for Posture Foundation. Posture Foundation was developed and patented in 1933 and set a new standard in trainer comfort. This insole technology involves a wedge like insert that moves weight to the outside of the foot so as to evenly distribute weight and therefore reducing leg strain. As the success of the posture foundation grew so then the brand became known as PF-Flyers.
StreetFeet is very pleased to introduce the PF-Flyers trainers range to their current collection. More styles will be added soon.
